Deshalb haben wir den Kindern Schreibwarenpakete besorgt, einschließlich Klebestiften, Scheren, Wachsmalkreiden und Papier. Die Kleinen freuten sich, und wir freuen uns über die schönen Bilder! However, in the day-to-day struggle money for pens or paper is rare. Therefore, Help IY bought stationary packs including glue sticks, scissors, wax crayons and paper. The kids were very happy, and so were we about the amazing pictures!

Als Teil unseres einjährigen Schulernährungsprogramms hat das Noluthando Day Care Center gerade die Lebensmittel für August erhalten. Beim Großhändler haben wir Grundnahrungsmittel wie Zucker, Maismehl und Reis in 10-Kilo-Säcken gekauft. Mit Butternut, Kartoffeln, Karotten, Zwiebeln und Birnen vom Obst- und Gemüsehändler war unser Auto schließlich randvoll gepackt. Als wir in Noluthando ankamen, hätten wir unsere Einkäufe gerne direkt den Kindern überreicht. Zu dieser Zeit war jedoch Schlafenszeit. So waren die Einkäufe als die Kinder aufwachten schon verstaut – und das Essen  vorbereitet. To improve the living conditions in Imizamo Yethu , fostering education is essential. However, education in South Africa is not for free. Therefore, Help IY has decided to arrange school fee sponsorships for children in need. In doing so, we have found a sponsor for a 6-year-old Zimbabwean boy. He and his mum escaped the disastrous situation in their home country and came to Imizamo Yethu, seeking for asylum in South Africa. Being single and HIV-infected, his mum is working hard to feed her little family. However, money for school fees cannot be spared. Now, through our arranged sponsorship, the little boy got the opportunity to attend the pre-school Little Lambs in Imizamo Yethu.
